Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, driving northwest through the lively roadside towns and fruit stalls of the Luwero Triangle. Along the way, enjoy brief stopovers for refreshments before continuing towards Murchison Falls National Park.
Upon arrival, you’ll first visit the Top of the Falls, where the mighty Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters into a thunderous whirlpool. The roar, the spray, and the rainbow mist create a breathtaking scene that captures the raw power of nature. This waterfall not only provides a stunning spectacle but also plays a crucial role in sustaining the surrounding ecosystems, supporting diverse wildlife habitats and local communities that depend on its resources.
In the afternoon, embark on a wildlife launch cruise along the Nile. This relaxing three-hour boat ride offers close-up views of hippos wallowing, Nile crocodiles basking, and herds of elephants and buffalo drinking by the riverbanks.
